Firefly Airline


The success of AirAsia no frills concept has created competition in Malaysia air travel industry where consumers now have the liberty to choose airlines that suit their budget and requirements. The latest budget no frills airline that has been added in Malaysia is the Firefly Airline which was established in April 2007. This airline is a wholly owned subsidiary of Malaysia Airline System Berhad.

Currently the airline has two Fokker 50 aeroplanes that can seat up to 50 passengers. With the hub in Penang, this airline is currently flying to a few destinations within Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand. If you are planning to go for vacation or business to any of the locations listed below, you now have another choice of budget airline to choose from.
