Kuala Lumpur Hospital is the largest government hospital in Malaysia under the Ministry of Health. You will be able to find all the specialists and equipment needed for the treatment of all kinds of ailments. It was established in the year 1870 as a district hospital but has since evolved to become the main hospital of Malaysia.
Entrance through Jalan Pahang to the hospital.Being a government hospital, the consultation and medication fees are minimal compared to private hospitals. However, the waiting time can be long if it is not an emergency. Government servants and pensioners enjoy free treatment at all government hospitals.
As this hospital is located at the city, there are many ways to get here using public transportation. Rapid KL buses and the free GoKL buses stop at the Jalan Pahang hospital bus stop.
You can also take the monorail here. The nearest station is the Chow Kit Monorail Station. It will take around 10 minutes for you to walk from this station to the hospital.

Park at the multi-storey car park if you drive to the hospital.Here is the visitation hours to the wards. Take note that children below 12 years old are not allowed into the wards.

Entrance to IMR along Jalan Pahang.If you have the time to spare, why not pop by the Biomedical Museum located in Institute For Medical Research. This institute is located beside the Kuala Lumpur Hospital.
You can spend about 1 hour looking at the exhibits and history of this institute. The operation hours of the museum is from 9am to 4pm from Monday to Friday. Entrance to the museum is free.
