Rawang Food - Hakka Yong Tau FooLooking for Rawang food after a tiring day visiting Templer Park, Kanching Recreational Forest or Selayang Hot Spring? Head for Ipoh Road Hakka Yong Tau Fu which is located at Jalan Setia in Rawang. This restaurant is open daily from 9am to 10pm and is just opposite TESCO Rawang. Yong tau foo is a Chinese cuisine and originates from the Hakka clans. The fish paste is made from wolf herring and mackeral. They are usually dipped in the sweet or spicy sauce before being eaten.

You can order fish paste stuffing in a varieties of vegetables such as white tou fu, fried tou fu, fried foo chok, bitter gourd, brinjals, chilli and ladies fingers to name a few. There are also the "sui kow" or dumplings that can be served in soup or deep fried. They are made from vegetables, shrimp and minced meat. The price is about RM1 per piece. Other cuisines you can order here include Paper Wrap Chicken, Assam Fish, Thai Style Chicken Feet, Oyster HK Choi Sam and Chee Cheong Fun. Drinks on the menu are herbal tea, soya bean, honey lime, wheat grass, 100-Plus and a pot of Chinese tea. Dessert serves are Gui Lin Gao and soya pudding.
