Malaysia Calendar 2011

The Malaysia calendar 2011 published here is taken from the official calendar published from the Prime Minister's Department. Find out the public holidays, state holidays and school holidays for year 2011.

If you plan to stay in the resorts or hotels in Malaysia and is on tight budget, plan your holidays so as not to coincide with the public holidays as most of the hotels will impose surcharges during this time. Use the most of the Malaysia Calendar 2011 in planning your holidays.

The holidays are the National Holidays of which the entire country will be on holidays including Sabah and Sarawak. This year will see the first year of another National Holiday called Malaysia Day which will be celebrated on Sept 16 annually. This day marks the day of which Sabah and Sarawak joined the Federation of Malaya on Sept 16, 1963 to form Malaysia.

The State holidays or Federal Territories holidays will only be observed by that particular state. There is a total of 13 states and 3 Federal Territories in Malaysia.
