If you have never been to Malaysia or have yet to hear the term "Eye On Malaysia", please read on and find out what Malaysia
has to offer you.
Year 2007 has been declared as Visit Malaysia Year 2007, the third of its kind in Malaysia. The first two were held in
the nineties. In conjunction with the launched of VMY 2007, a giant ferris wheel called "Eye on Malaysia", similar to London Eye was launched by Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi on January 6, 2007 at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa, Kuala Lumpur.
Eye On Malaysia Ferris Wheel
The first of its kind to be installed in this region, it is 60m in height and has 42 gondolas, all fully air conditioned
for a comfortable ride. A full circle ride takes approximately 3 minutes to complete and each gondola can accommodate
up to 8 people. You will be taken on a 4 full circle rides which takes 12 minutes to complete. It also has 2 specially
designed handicap friendly gondolas. The technology used to build the structure comes from Switzerland and it had been
tested rigorously for safety according to Germany TUV Standards.
As the ferris wheel rotates, one can see the beautiful scenery of modern day Kuala Lumpur. A fantastic night view of the
panoramic city can be seen during the night when all the lightings of the city are lighted up. The renowned landmarks that
can be seen from the gondolas are Petronas Twin Towers and Kuala Lumpur Tower. It is located beside the Titiwangsa Lake
which makes it an attraction not to be missed for every visitor who comes to Malaysia.
If you are in Malaysia, make it a point to take the ride. I am sure you will not regret it. It is open to the public daily
from 10am to 10pm until Dec 31 2007, where the Visit Malaysia Year 2007 will end.
Eye On Malaysia will be shifted to the state of Melaka and operation will start from October 2008 onwards.
The entrance fee at Tasik Titiwangsa was:

There will be a free presentation of laser show at the same venue at 9pm everyday.
